Helios909 Just, wow! So smooth. Who else could make a plucked zither fold into so many seemingly disparate sounds/genres but S.T.??? Favorite track: Zheng '21 (Ambient Mix).

Jean-Paul DuQuette The original and mixes are so varied, it feels rather more like an EP than a maxi-single. The fact there's a 45 minute continuous DJ mix on at the end, and this modest release becomes more than a full album's worth, something you can put on and forget about for 90 minutes or so. Excellent world electronica. Favorite track: Zheng '21 (Ivan Shopov Remix).

Paul Asbury Seaman I love everything Kaya Project does. They have one of the most distinct sounds in the world music, chill, ambient and down-tempo genres. I, too, love the Chinese zheng (close cousin to the Japanese koto). And of course Seb Taylor's usual edgy alchemy keeps this from sounding like just another "ethnic" recording. A delicious and VERY exciting release. Favorite track: Zheng '21 (Ambient Mix).

jjswjazzman The consistency of Kaya Project continues. The DJ set is an excellent way to spend an hour (if you still have one having listened to the rest of the album!).

The latest EP from Kaya Project is based on an original 6 minute Guzheng performance - reworked into Drum & Bass, Trance, Ambient, Downtempo Glitch & Bassy Versions.

The Chinese Guzheng is one of my all time favourite Instruments. I was lucky enough to acquire this magnificent Zheng about 10 years ago, although it is so big it rarely gets set up in my small studio.

I dusted it off & immediately fell into “The Zone’ while playing. The resultant live recording is the basis for this 6 track EP. Including a wonderful Drum & Bass Remix by none other than Ivan Shopov (AKA Cooh, Balkansky) as well as a Trance remix, Ambient remix, Downtempo Breaks remix, & a Hibernation Jazzy-Glitch Mix.

Also included is a Continuous DJ mix, 2 versions of DESERT CHILD* by Kaya Project & 2 versions of the Hibernation track 'WABI SABI' (Which happen to the the very first tracks I ever recorded this Zheng on)
